Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your time at Pro. We are pleased you enjoy being able to work remotely but disappointing to hear you don't feel communication amongst the teams is good. We are always looking at new ways to keep people updated and bring teams together, especially as we now have more hybrid or remote workers. If you feel comfortable to reach out to HR they can discuss what options we currently have in place and welcome any further suggestions.

Pros

I made a few friends here. It is a job.

Cons

I currently work here. I love a few of my co workers but anyone in a manager position above you will not let you forget it. You are observed and talked about around the office. Annual employee reviews that serve no purpose as raises and promotions are not given. Raises are “company wide” which means everyone gets one. Don’t get too excited, the only raise I’ve gotten was 17 cents. This place will suck the life out of you. You need to pay your employees a decent wage. We know there are people being paid $5 or more than others.

Pros

I cannot think of anything good to say about it.

Cons

I hope everyone can avoid entering this company if you have other job offers. 1. The company has several branches. It means as a team, your manager and you may not be in the same location at work. It means colleagues in your office can speak ill of you to the manager because the manager does not know your work performance in detail. As a new starter, if you do not suck up to your colleagues. Someone will isolate you and tell your manager you perform badly. However those colleagues even spend a third or a quarter of their normal working hours doing other things which are not related to work. However, the leaders of the company do not know this. People who really do not perform well continue to work in the company. 2. If company wants you to leave, they will not give you any warnings. They prefer to use PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) to dismiss employees. Your managers will give you a very hard task and they believe that you cannot finish it so they could have a good excuse to let their employees leave. They spend time and money recruiting staff. But they do not want to help them, they would rather dismiss their employees. If they have reminded them several times that the employees need to improve their performance but they did not make any effort. Then the company let them leave it is reasonable. However, they never do that. 3. Even if you finish the PIP, they will still find many excuses dismiss you. And some of these excuses are demeaning and unacceptable. It is not that you perform badly. Like what I mentioned above, it is that some collegues do not like you or someone says something bad about you. The managers need to respect your staff. Overall, I do not think we should work in this toxic environment. You cannot make any career progress here, you can only face bad colleagues and play office politics with them. Employees are not respected here at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are disappointed to hear that the hybrid working model we rolled out across the organisation during the Covid 19 pandemic did not work well for you. The feedback we received from staff in the recent Pulse survey, was that this approach has worked very well across all areas of the business, hence why we have continued to advertise and interview for all of our vacancies on this basis. All employees have the opportunity for regular contact with both their colleagues and line managers, either face to face in the office on a regular basis and via MS Teams, as and when required. We are sorry you do not feel the PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) was of benefit to you. PIPs are used as part of our robust performance management process which is regularly reviewed to ensure that this is both a fair process and also in line with current employment legislation. PIPs are put in place to support staff with any areas identified as a knowledge or skills gap, giving clearly defined objectives within a specific timeframe where additional coaching/mentoring/training is offered to support staff to successfully meet the minimum role requirements. I am sorry that following this process, you disagree with the outcome. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact the HR Team who would be happy to arrange a time convenient to you, to go through this in more detail.
