No good reasons to work at Pratt The company has gone downhill in all areas over the last 10 years

Cons

If you are not part of the good ole boy network you are doomed. If you are mid/late career and never worked for Pratt Whitney, not the place for you Yearly raises for mid/late career technical employees are almost non existent Benefits package below other aerospace companies Many contract losses to the competition (primarily General Electric)

Great job Friendly and smart employees Opportunities to work on many different projects

Cons

Conservative (almost oppressive feel) culture Employees are afraid to speak the truth for fear of retaliation - "avoid rocking the boat" No working from home because the company doesn't believe it can be done High deductible insurance - the worst on the planet!!! Managers are known for sabotaging their own employees to seek favor from executives - often taking credit for their contributions and ideas.
