      Pros

      Salary is good and therefore the company is full with people doing nothing

      Cons

      The Digital competences are 20 light years behind, all work is being done by agencies and contracters. I've never been in a more incompetent digital environment, where 90% of the employees just are creating PPTs and drowning in politics.

      So far in 6 and half years my opinion has slowly dropped over time but is in free fall right now.

      Pros

      The goal to help improve the lives of billions of people around the world is great and I believe most of our products are great.

      Cons

      In 6 and a half years I have been dangled opportunities and raises to bring me more inline with my experience and skills as a senior field engineer. The carrot keeps moving and I get the stick instead. Verbal promises and hints sont lead to anything. The "just wait, changes and opportunities are coming" bit has been a way for management to keep me doing what I am and not changing roles or leaving.

      Pros

      Great work/life balance. Everyone is very helpful and friendly - more than willing to offer guidance while learning the ropes. Plenty of opportunity for growth and development. 95% of the people I've met have been employed at least 10 years - some even leaving and coming back which tells me that it's a great place to work.

      Cons

      HORRIBLE on-boarding experience - there's nobody to assist you will all of the different internal sites you must visit to set up everything you'll need. You don't need even know everything you need to set you because there's nobody to assist you. You're not given a checklist or a meeting with an HR rep to assist you. No IT department - everything is outsourced - you have to set up your own laptop and if there's a problem, good luck. The instructions they send you contain a web address if you encounter problems - but NO phone numbers. It's kind of hard to access a web address for assistance if you can't get on your laptop. I sat for 3 days with no laptop - which means i could literally do NOTHING - and everybody I spoke with said that 3 days was actually good - many people sat for weeks! Too many different internal sites to access everything - nothing is clear - you basically have to hope someone can help you navigate all of the intricacies.
