It once was a great company but time has changed it...

Pros

A big company that offers many experiences, job movement, training, good people and advancement

Cons

Big company, narrow in focus, not as employee-friendly as it once was. Overbearing and over demanding when it comes to making unrealistic sales goals. They are out for themselves to make money while holding you accountable for their failure to read the market. They are now pushing to get younger hoping to lower their employee costs. Use them as they'd use you and it can be a win-win, just don't get burned in doing so...

We appreciate that you've taken the time to reflect a bit on your experience working with us for over the past 10+ years. It's great to read there have been quite a lot of opportunities, and there is a lot of focus on training, for the sake of innovation. The way you describe it, it does sound like sometimes task could be delegated better. I hope you've talked about this with the managing team when you were leaving. You can also be sure that managers read these pages as well, so they'll be able to take note of it. As a final note: thank you for your work over the past 10 years with us, it was great having you on board.

Pros

Good Pay, Decent Vacation Time. Decent Benefits

Cons

To advance, you must be part of the "club". If you don't "Jive" with the management "Team" you will be targeted. required to do the work of 3 people, you will get no-where, no matter how hard you try. You will be falsely reprimanded to keep you in your position, unable to advance or move from your current position for one year. The only acknowledgement you will receive will be during your yearly review and NO ONE gets an "exceeds", no matter what you do. That's the un-written rule. Unless you are part of the club, then you can do whatever you want without repercussion and still advance. No incentives to do better or be better. This company does not care about it's future. This is apparent by the amount of times it has laid off it's workers. Putting it's best people out. There is no one with the knowledge and experience to run the processes correctly anymore. People retire and find other jobs and their positions are absorbed by the remaining few, no new people, Just more work and backlash. I have not see a new employee in 4 years. Don't plan on joining any of the Extra-Curricular activities that Non-Production workers get to enjoy. Your 3 jobs will require constant attention, there will be no time for that.

Thank you for sharing a few words about your Philips experience. We're sorry to hear it's been far from ideal, especially since this doesn't reflect our company values. For us, the best place to work is an inclusive place to work, where all our people's ideas are shared. Therefore, your feedback will be used in our continuous efforts to improve. We also encourage you to schedule a meeting with your Manager or HR Representative, as to address any gaps. Our upper Management is also active on here, reading and taking into account all reviews. Wishing you the best with your career.
