Pros

I worked in the customer care dept for many years. It was a great dept to get your feet wet and learn about how the fintech world worked. You definitely get out of the company what you put in, you work hard and it will be rewarded.

Cons

Management can at times fail to be transparent with employees especially in the customer care dept, this is partially due to the fact a majority of upper management (for all departments) are located in Israel. While local management has done a fairly good job, I felt the upper management in the Israel office were more about the numbers and not the associates well being. For example they say care about everyone's Work at home situation but in reality they don't care if you live in a big house or a tiny one bedroom apt with a family of 6-7 with little personal work space. If you did not perform well during these Work from home months, you would eventually get let go. While I understand it's business first, it would be nice if at least tried to accommodate select individuals with a workspace office of sorts. However the mentality at the company is "If the Israel or Hong Kong associates can do it, so can New York". Because of this, the complaints of the New York associates working at home are often not taken serious and seen more as an excuse.

Payoneer Response

The past few months have presented many challenges to all employees globally. At Payoneer, our employees’ safety is our number one priority. We care about the health and wellbeing of our people and through the various pulse check surveys that we conducted throughout the business, know that the majority of employees currently prefer to work from home. Payoneer did and is doing as much as possible to make the new work arrangement comfortable for all: computer monitors and IT equipment were delivered to associates homes, a home office reimbursement was created, and an EAP hot line was encouraged to support our employees emotionally. As the situation improves, we continue to work on making arrangements that are safe and aligned with the state government mandates to provide employees the option to work from the office. Thank you for your feedback and insights.
