Pros

Having PayPal on your resume opens doors, and some fine people work there. Good if you do want to work hard in terms of effort but do not want to work too hard in terms of being innovative, creative, and exciting.

Cons

Remarkably entrenched in conventional organizational concepts for a company of this caliber, and remarkably slow to move to innovate, preferring instead to maintain the existing status quo because of the businesses growth rates.

Pros

Having the name on your resume.

Cons

long hours, no support towards making work/life balance of people better against workload. Objective was always time schedule based against impossible deadlines and not well planned for the betterment of the products nor people. People are resources and capacity; not treated as people.

Pros

Excellent leadership, senior management listens to every level of employee. PayPal keeps making constant progress to improve - for both its customers and its employees.

Cons

Typical Silicon Valley internet company issues that you'd find anywhere else: process issues, technology restraints, projects get descoped due to lack of dev resources. The grass isn't greener elsewhere.
