      Great business, good people, slow development process

      Pros

      - Good career growth opportunities. Do a good job and you will get promoted regularly. - Decent compensation packages, but you have to ask for it - Decent work / life balance, but you have to be willing to stand up for yourself and make sure you have a good understanding of you responsibilities with your manager.

      Cons

      - Slow and frustrating development process. Way too slow for a web company. - Too focused on profits with a lack of empathy for the end users. Lots of user research and testing is done, but unfortunately the results are often ignored. - Too many 'empire builder' directors just trying to build the biggest teams.

      Pros

      People are mostly friendly. Benefits package is good. Company spends significant amount of money on moral boosting activities.

      Cons

      Management actively promotes only those who tell them what they want to hear, and suppresses dissenting opinions. This is particularly acute with regards to project planning, resulting in half-backed, rushed code. A direct quote from management. "Don't ask the domain tech lead so many hard questions."

      Decent salary, decent work-life balance, some good people to work with. Decent cafeteria and coffee bar.

      Cons

      Inexperienced management, lack of accountability, low standards for acceptable quality of work. The same mistakes are made over and over.
