Drowning in inefficiencies

Pros

Paycheck. Decent benefits. Potential for flexibility but it depends on who you work for.

Cons

Terrible culture of rampant micromanagement, red tape, and inefficiencies. Highly political. Forget about advancement unless you are chummy with the right people. Hard work is just not rewarded here but gossiping, backstabbing, and general incompetence are the way to thrive. You'll likely spend 80% of your time justifying and running reports on what you do the other 20%; and that's when you are not wasting your days in pointless meetings where nothing actually gets accomplished. Good luck getting your hands on assignments which require the very intelligence, skills, and experience that got you hired. Salaries are adequate at the start, but do not keep up with the market, so you'll be training and mentoring new people that are clearly less experienced than you, but earn 15-20% more.

Worst company I have ever worked at - and I've worked at many

Pros

Somehow, there are a lot of nice people, despite an environment of cut-throat internal competition

Cons

This is without any question a terrible company that provides a shoddy product because it is cheap and does not want to pay for what it needs in order to fulfill its obligations to customers. what happens here is plain and simply a nightmare. Promises are made to win awards, but the stafffing required to implement the studies is not provided. The result is that operational teams are overwhelmed and in competition with each other, and customers are indignant. There are people on sick leave (read stress) and turnover is rife. But we keep selling and promising what we know we can't deliver

Pros

-Fair wages most of the time -Able to speak your mind -Some Line Managers are very good

Cons

-IT is terrible -Intranet is terrible -New LMS is terrible -Too many systems that are constantly being updated, added, or removed -Majority of COLs really do not know what they are doing -New CRAs are not being fully trained before they are asked to start conducting visits -CRA metrics are based on 3 remote visits is equal to 1 day on-site, which is unfair considering each remote visit has a report and there is always more prep and follow-up involved -HR is terrible and does not respond most of the time -Insurance premiums, copays, and out of pocket max greatly increased in 2022 -High turnover of staff -PTO was changed to RTO in 2022 and remaining PTO from 2021 was not paid out to employees. -Benefits are not that great
