Pros

Paycheck. Decent benefits. Potential for flexibility but it depends on who you work for.

Cons

Terrible culture of rampant micromanagement, red tape, and inefficiencies. Highly political. Forget about advancement unless you are chummy with the right people. Hard work is just not rewarded here but gossiping, backstabbing, and general incompetence are the way to thrive. You'll likely spend 80% of your time justifying and running reports on what you do the other 20%; and that's when you are not wasting your days in pointless meetings where nothing actually gets accomplished. Good luck getting your hands on assignments which require the very intelligence, skills, and experience that got you hired. Salaries are adequate at the start, but do not keep up with the market, so you'll be training and mentoring new people that are clearly less experienced than you, but earn 15-20% more.

Pros

Well trained managers that empower you, truly listen to you, and only do well if YOU do well/ they provide resources and definitely offer development opportunities to those who want them AND have demonstrated they can maintain their scoped, regular duties at a high level of quality while working on special development projects Also unlimited RTO in US

Cons

no bonuses and too much focus/emphasis on how many years with *Parexel*, as opposed to how many years total you have been in the industry (ex doing site management at another CRO or Sponsor group )

Pros

A few nice people. That's it.

Cons

"With Heart" is a joke. This company does not care about its employees. Those that have been there for a number of years seem to be brainwashed into thinking this culture is normal and that this company cares about them. Parexel likes to make employees feel like they are just lucky to be there. Senior Leadership lacks management and people skills and are quick to throw employees under the bus to protect themselves. Probably because for many of them this is the only company they've ever worked for. This accounts for the high school clique-like culture. The workload is ridiculous for the pay and expectations are constantly shifting. The only thing Parexel cares about is money. The company is overloaded with ridiculous metrics. It's practically all you will have time to do. The most miserable place I've ever worked.
