Pros

Media giant, tons of high-level properties to work on. You get the prestige of working for MTV, Nickelodeon and other of the high profile brands. One of the biggest content creators. Projects are trend setting and innovative.

Cons

Very big, very corporate. Politics play a big role, Silos and connections are everything to get ahead. Very often the best people are not the ones who get the key positions as they are not the best connected. Talented people carry a lot of dead weight from people who don't add value.

Thanks for your review. We are always looking to improve and take into consideration all feedback received. I’m sorry to hear that you feel you weren’t adequately paid while with CBSI . As you may know, there are several factors that go into developing and executing our pay philosophy and our goal is to reward performance at both the monetary and non-monetary levels. Although our total rewards packages are competitive in the industry, we do understand that for employers who pay is a top motivator, there is always an employer who is willing to compensate more. It is also disappointing to hear that you felt the culture was negative as that is in no way the culture permeated down from our leadership teams. With ~30 brands that roll up into CBS Interactive, and ultimately, CBS Corporation, we take pride in our teams’ abilities to keep brand specific sub-cultures that adhere to the values of CBS Interactive as a whole. With this in mind, we do appreciate all feedback received as we continue to enhance our company-wide programs and initiatives. We do hope that you will consider CBSi in the future as we continue to improve

Pros

nice office location, one-week off at end of year

Cons

- Pretend to do "startup" things, but we all know it's a behemoth (or dinosaur) - Lots of politics with management looking out for only their interests - Stagnant with execs still very much making decisions with a network TV mentality
