I have learned alot during my time with the company and feel that it does a great job in balancing work/life.

Pros

Work/Life balance - They are very proactive with spending time outside of the office. During the summer season we get every other Friday off and there is always an event where you can bring children. Benefit - The benefits are pretty good and rarely do you hear about premiums increasing or getting less than prior years. Dress code - Unless you're in finance or sales, you can wear jeans and dress down most of the time.

Cons

There are opportunities, but unfortunately most of them go to friends of friends or relatives. The company should support more of its own employees.

- Real, meaningful projects - Actual contribution to the team (even though you're an intern!) - A great opportunity to develop skills in the field - Awesome company culture

Cons

I honestly can't say that there were too many cons to working at CBS Interactive. It would have been nice to have received a travel stipend and maybe some other perks that full-time employees receive, but when looking at the overall internship program as a whole, there really isn't too much to complain about.

* Bad communications between upper management and staff * Lack of transparency * Favoritism * Lack of job security * Frequent lay offs * Unnecessary corporate spending that could be geared towards employees retention * Awful programming
