Pros

*Company is expanding but AC position is a revolving door. *Looks good on your resume but not sure if all the stress, hard work and OT is worth it.

Cons

*When i interviewed for this position i thought i would be focusing on the clients instead i am staring at excel sheets, reports and dealing with creatives and tags most of the time. *Managment reassures you that you can go to them if you need help and when you do they get irritated or say unecessary smart comments that make them sound condescending...your fellow AC's when they have a chance to breath will be nicer about helping you because they know its tough. *They expect new AC's to know everything and understand everything and do things right. *Long learning curve *2 week training only prepares you for the basics not the chaotic, complex, stressful work that comes your way...so its VERY irritating when a manager points out that your question was included in the training...UNREALISTIC. Its a lot, too soon, too complicated..so give your AC time to learn!

Pros

- Being able to say you work at MTV - Flexible work hours and super light work load frees up a lot of time to work on your own side projects. - Obnoxious corporate spending meant attending expensive conferences was no problem.

Cons

- Its bureaucratic structure bred a culture of terrible work ethic at every level. No one produces any actual work other than meeting agendas and 'To Do' lists. - Uninspiring projects and uninspiring leaders. - "Permalancing" - terrible pay, unpaid holidays, no benefits, tax violations.

Pros

It's not a shirt and tie kind of place. Your work is fairly autonomous in that you still have bosses and dead lines to meet but no one is hovering over you shoulder the entire day.

Cons

Home office is in San Francisco so sometimes it can feel like your disconnected from the goings on of the main office but it's not to prevalent.
