Pros

I'll think of some eventually.

Cons

CBS had its own problems before the merger... but since Viacom effectively took over, this company is cooperate America at its absolute worst... the first thing they did was pause yearly pay increases. Basically everything they touch turns to s**t. They've talked a BIG game about prioritizing diversity, but only in entry level or temporary positions. There's also little room if any for promotions... basically you're a cog in the wheel of a sub par media business... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Decent Job but lots of wasted motion

Pros

Corp policies and code of conduct is fair, compensation is pretty decent, but not top of the market. Many changes are occurring and there are opportunities fire those who want to put in the time, but they should plan on long hours, if they want to move up.

Cons

Many internal initiatives are under-funded or are supported widely at the executive level, allowing multiple solutions, workflows and databases to pop up like weed. This makes it difficult to accomplish goals that require sorry from other teams because there are either no standardized systems or they are under developed and employees are under trained in their utilization. Plus, years of layoffs have left the company spread critically understaffed in multiple area, requiring those who remain to pick up the slack. When be employees must be added, it's nearly impossible to open up a staff role, instead trying to freelance as many rooms as possible.

Pros

Free coffee. Good teammates depending on which team you're on. Good experience if you want to dive into digital media.

Cons

Work culture isn't that great. Pay is really low. Hard to move up if you're based in SF since CBS is mainly in NY.
