Pros

Learned so much about the industry It's paid $10 for undergrads and I think the MBA/masters students got $20!! If you are a petite blond, you'll definitely have more fun! ;) Got to do cool things like events, and film festivals and meet celebs

Cons

The people we def not friendly or warm or welcoming, as I'd imagine is the case everywhere Very very stressful environment Everybody is not shallow, not fake but just empty in a weird way Paramount is focused on producing a string of dumb movies.

Pros

Screenings. Souvenir Shop, Multiple dining options, long-term employees who share the folklore of the property - e.g. Lucille Ball's Shooting locations, iconic area where Frank Sinatra recorded some historic tracks, studio space where Busby Berkeley shot his movies alongside Fred and Ginger.

Cons

Incest among the leadership team. Starstruck employees... a general feel that you're supposed to be humbled and grateful to be working in the environment... yet leaders who appear to be promoted based on their looks and who they are related to. Nothing new in the business world .. Just saddened that it's happened to a venerable Los Angeles institution.

Pros

Great working on the studio lot, lots of Hollywood history, creative people, free movie screenings. DVD's are $4 for employees.Benefits would be comparable to any large company - nothing out of the norm.

Cons

Career =You're either Management or an Assistant level. None or very, very few non management jobs. Compensation= is great for Managers through EVP, plus they get short term and long term incentives on top of their annual salary. Imagine working for a manager who delegates everything to you, and you get paid $25 an hour and at the year end gets an extra $25K bonus on top of the $135K annual salary? Work Life Balance= Depends on the department, some areas have it, others don't Culture= Lack of cohesiveness between departments.Fair amount of social climbing and ass kissing going on. Must have thick skin or high level of professionalism to endure the ever changing cliques.
