Pros

"Cool" place to work. Got to watch some of the artists rehearse for MTV awards. Maybe see a "star" but they're usually hide themselves under a hat and sunglasses so as not to be bothered by the lot peons.

Cons

Sweatshop. Once worked til 4 am and another time until 2 am. Get shocked dirty looks if you even think of leaving after only 8 hours. Management can be disrespectful and abusive. Egos, egos, egos. Nepotism. Everybody and their cousin is a "Director" or "Executive Director" or "VP" Managers are out to protect their little kingdoms that they've built and will backstab in a heartbeat to get ahead or prevent a rival from doing so.

It looks good on the resume

Pros

It's Paramount Pictures... it looks great on a resume and feels good to say out loud. Additionally, it is a well-known entity and a mostly fun and reasonably "laid-back" workplace compared to the more "corporate" atmosphere of other entertainment companies.

Cons

It has a lot of chiefs and not very many injuns, as the saying goes. Compared to other industries, the titles of "management" at Paramount are highly overstated to the allowed responsibilities. Everything is top-secret, no sharing with vital partners, or internally if there is even the chance that it might get "leaked" to the press... as if the press doesn't find out from the 1000's of theatres or retail customers.
