Amazing Company Culture

Business Outlook

Pros

Amazing history, strong sense of community, employees are valued, generous time off, ability to see how you're contributing to the bottom line, and a true work-life balance. The work is exciting and there are always opportunities to raise your hand for projects and to learn. If you work hard and are invested, you'll go far.

Cons

Paramount still seems to be working on getting its groove back, but with a great leadership team in place, they are on their way. The studio does not pay as well as some of its competitors, but in exchange provides a more balanced and fun working environment. People here really seem to care about one another and the future of the company.

Pros

Generous Time off at holidays Excellent employee training and educational reimbursement policy Generally employee oriented

Cons

Much turmoil and company struggling with change management and lack of a strong film slate. Policies can be a oblique - no employee manual or easy access to any benefit manager by phone- a lot more emphasis on the "corporate" culture of Viacom which can leave Studio employees with a sense of 'we're on the B team". Getting access to the right tools (i.e. computers, supplies) can be challenging as budgets are tight.

Historic place to work

Pros

Great people, a lot that have worked there for several years (if not decades). The career assistants can be grouchy, but payroll, operations and HR are always top notch. The free employee screenings are a major perk, as is, being on an extremely historic lot.

Cons

Like any company, they have a lot of politics that are associated with the executives and leaders of the studio.
