Pros

Lots of talented employees that really care about what they are doing. Still offer some of the finest filtration and purification products in the world. In many markets, Pall holds #1 market position. Lots of smart and fun people!

Cons

The new CEO has been in place for 17 months and has yet to utter one word about a 'Vision' or what he sees for Pall's future beyond next quarter's numbers!! In his first weeks on board, he already "knew" everything and how he was going to fix it! If previous management already had a program in place, it must be wrong and needed to change. (classic 'Not Invented Here' syndrome). Number one objective is to bring in his buddies from previous companies to take over the Executive management positions. Next priority was lay off loyal and very dedicated employees, especially with too many years at Pall. Employees have been through so many downsizing exercises that most people are trying to manage the workload of 2-3 jobs. Hours are endless if you attempt to keep up with doing those roles well. Senior management is weak. So many people are frightened of losing their jobs, they have become "yes" men to Executive management even when the directive will obviously hurt business or production. Politics, politics, politics. If you have no talent, but can tell a good story, kiss up and fool the new "Kingsley" management -- you are on your way up! The new management group has fired so many people with experience over 20 years that mistakes are being made out of sheer ignorance as to why the precaution was ever put in place. Don't try to explain it, they already "know" a better way! There is so little respect and appreciation for employees. Announced yet again a week ago, that another team is losing there jobs so roles can be moved overseas to save money. No one is watching the competition -- they are too busy playing politics, worrying over job security, implementing ridiculous management directives. Competitors and customers -- "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

Pros

Buoyed by tremendous market growth

Cons

The whole company runs on fear, executive disease, and an ever rotating cast of new senior leadership that are unfamiliar with the fundamentals of the business and unable or unwilling to provide real leadership (i.e., inspiration, connection, meaning). Prepare to be managed along a constant bone grinding march to hit the short term numbers at all costs. Every day you are painfully aware that you're just a cog in a soulless corporate machine.

Pros

I liked my co-workers and immediate supervisor.

Cons

Upper management throws around buzz words and instructions like "state of the art" "center of excellence" "own it" "drive the bus" etc. but then micromanage. They are inconsistent with their expectations and thus they rarely satisfied.
