Pros

I was on a very good team of smart people, many of them dedicated their entire careers to this company, and it is a very large company that isn't going anywhere any time soon. Very dedicated to the community and to the environment. Tip Top standards in safety, training, EPA, even developing a relationship with the local municipalities.

Cons

They cannot seem to keep people at the top, which means they have trouble keeping people at all levels. Every new leader has a new vision, and people's careers are always played as pawns in an effort to always re-group. I've been through 5 'hiring and firing' seasons where good people were laid off for no other reason than "they weren't in the plan." It was never about downsizing, this is a company that has hired consistently, even during layoffs (Donut Day = Welcome the new hire). I've seen Legacy (20+ year) Employees get canned just because a few people had to be pruned from the tree. I've seen people get laid off with <1 year from retirement. A former coworker was about to move (PACKED AND READY TO GO) to be closer to his grandchildren, secured a new job. Pall BEGGED him to stay and offered a promotion. My coworker cancelled his plans, cancelled his new job, cancelled the moving company, had to tell his family he was staying.......Then Pall let him go, 2 months later. No longer needed. They are a company with every indication of a long Career, but they can't keep their promises. Even Recruiters have nothing good to say.

Pros

Nothing is positive in this company. Horrible experience. Sales agents are cocky, so are come Principal Engineers. Worked on-site with some staff, Jesus Christ! Senior Scientists in Cell culture sounded like high school pass outs! have no knowledge of what they are doing, no product knowledge whatsoever.

Cons

I was called in for an on-site interview from outside US, they made me pay all my interview expenses - flights, hotel, car rental, meals. But when i submitted my receipts for reimbursement to the HR woman from their NY head office who I had been dealing with for 1.5 months, she went deaf and blind, and never replied. Its been over a year that I am trying to get my reimbursement. I had contacted so many HR people in this company, but no one has the decency to return my calls nor reply to my emails. Awfully low standard company, and I am so glad I was not hired - who knows I would never have gotten paid, if hired! I feel pity for all the employees of Pall Corp and now Danaher, who has no other choice but to work for such a horribly managed company. Employees whine about Danaher acquisition - because now they have to actually work and not just sit in their offices doing nothing! Overly hyped and overrated for their substandard services, highly unprofessional Human Resources. Funny thing is they show themselves so high at whatever conference to see them at - reality is they treat people horribly.
