Pros

You get great exposure to what you may encounter in law enforcement. Dealing with all sorts of people from great, kind, and gentle souls all the way to crazy and bad people that wants to hurt everyone near them.

Cons

You can get injured at work from trying to deescalate a situation. Just like if you were working as a law enforcer. Pay is not worth the potential risk. People are mostly in it for the experience as a stepping stone into law enforcement.

We never want our employees to feel in danger in their position, which is why we provide ongoing training and an additional 40–120 hours of healthcare specific training for our Healthcare Security Officers. Pros

It's a nice experience when you know your company prioritizes their employees. Good hours, comprehensive benefits, flexible schedules, and lots of posts to choose from. They also offer help with certs and training. This is my first job and planning to make this a career.

Cons

Really nothing to complain about. Night shifts and working on holidays but that comes with the job.
