      I wouldn't work there again! Poor treatment of employees lower down on the ladder.

      Pros

      Salary was better than some places. The colleagues were the ones that kept me sane enough to come back to work each day.

      Cons

      Extreme unsocial hours. The management structure was too top heavy. Needed to go through four different people to get help. Treatment of employees was poor. High turnover of staff because of people leaving due to bad working conditions and because the training bonus rewarded to management. Customers were allowed to speak to employees with foul language and management allowed it. Work morale at a low.

      Pros

      The role really built up my technical knowledge and leadership skills. Betfair is (was?) a fun place to work, with great benefits and a very competitive salary.

      Cons

      I got very tired of constantly being in meetings. It often felt like senior management didn't care about anything except revenue.

      Pros

      The culture and atmosphere is very exciting; inclusive, vibrant and fast moving. You will get on at Betfair if you can stand on your own two feet, find things out for yourself and carve your own path. The benefits and salary are very competitive.

      Cons

      Continuous change and upheaval has left existing employees jaded. Even with a change in management the culture still feels very chaotic. A long hours and presenteeism culture still pervades even with the drive towards promoting work life balance and the need to work efficiently.
