      Pros

      I can't say anything positive about the workplace, but I met a lot of friends. If I could go back, I will never accept again the job.

      Cons

      It was the worst experience ever in my career... They have the value fun, but it's only on the paper... there is no fun there. I worked crazy hours and my manager didn't recognise my job.

      Great opportunities to learn from some of the leading technical minds in the industry. Working with latest technology. It's a genuine meritocracy and a company that invests in technical career paths.

      Cons

      More needs to be done in the open source community - a lot of interesting and valuable technical work is done here that would benefit many by being published outside of Betfair.

      Hugely Agile - quick to make decisions, and they are acted on immediately Cutting Edge Tech - streaming architectures, massively performant transactional backend, massive investment in IaaS/SDN/Infra as Code etc for automation In-House - Code & Datacentres not outsourced, vast majority built and owned by employees

      Fast rate of expansion and highly complex technology not for everyone Tool proliferation - Right tool for right job sometimes means too many tools for the same job...
