Went from my dream job to a nightmare

Unfortunately nothing is worth sticking around anymore

The mechanics who actually care get overloaded day after day while the mechanics who love to pencil whip talk their way out of hard jobs. Upper management is spineless and takes advantage of you. Ever single the new VP of maintenance took over, they have sucked every single bit of enjoyment out of the company. You are overworked and underpaid. The funniest part about being underpaid is you pay the same union dues as mainline who makes exponentially more for drastically less work. Local management is outdated and loves to belittle others. In CLT, they have started a shuttle system which adds over a hour of UNPAID work to our already 13.5 hour days. They have a group of trainers who are called MTIs that treat you like you’re scum for coming to them with questions, which is the whole point of their job. I cannot give a single positive answer to this company anymore. They don’t care about you.

Friendly colleagues, decent pay and benefits, healthy culture, reasonable work expectations, 2 days a week working from home.

Cons

Employees always make less with a regional airline compared to if they worked at Mainline American Airlines. Small teams mean fewer opportunities for comprehensive training and development.
