Tuition reimbursement Employee owned company with share offerings after 1 year of full-time employment Large company with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada

      Cons

      I would not recommend the F.E. role for someone who is not comfortable working on a jobsite or unwilling to work long hours if needed on a project.

      Privately owned company with share options, providing annual returns through dividends. Opportunity to manage projects of various sizes across multiple building applications.

      Cons

      Slow career advancement. Below average salary offering.

      Pros

      PCL fosters collaborative and cohesive teams in the office and on site that become friends and can feel like family. Management strongly encourages growth opportunities and creates pathways for career development. Loyal and long term employees at all levels are rewarded with the company's profit sharing program that can greatly increase compensation. Executive Management is transparent about direction, goals, and finances. Employees work on exciting projects across the US and Canada.

      Cons

      Occasionally work/life balance is not always the best when there are deadlines or milestones to achieve but I do not know of any strong construction companies where this does not occur.
