Pay is low. In the position I'm in, pay is not near the market value for Personnel Security Specialist in the DC area. You can make more elsewhere being an assistant or doing intake for the PSS. Only way to make good money is if you're in a management position but growth within the company is not likely. I'm working with people that have been there for years and some don't even want to be promoted because they say its just not worth it. Benefits aren't great either. You don't get all the major holidays. PTO is a measly 2.31 hours per paycheck. Almost a year to accrue even one week. Raises are rare and if you do get one, it's not much. Management is horrible, they don't care about anything except their bottom line. They let bad employees get away with things and aren't fair with everyone. Favoritism can be a big problem. From the moment you start working, you are set up for failure. No real training is provided. You have to learn on your own, as you go along and if you make mistakes, its on you 100% for not training yourself correctly. Overall, it's better to look at other companies to work for especially if it's a government contract. Team morale is low because we know we don't get any backing and we have to fend for ourselves and our jobs.

Super busy (which really isn't bad)
