Pros

Two days are never the same, always busy, time flys. Most volunteers are nice, enjoy meeting and chatting with customers.

Cons

Always work more hours unpaid. Days off keep changing. No proper training. No organisation in Management. Poor pay. Crap fixtures and fittings. To much paperwork not enough time to do it. Volunteers can be demanding and being nice 24/7 can be emotionally exhausting.

Pros

Friendly coworkers and supervisor, good environment, glad I could make a difference.

Cons

The place was often cluttered because of the unsorted donations.

Pros

Line Manager and team were great and supportive

Cons

Terrible pay, didn't increase in line with minimum wage. Tried to not pay holiday that was owed when I left, spoke with a Union rep and apparently Oxfam was doing this a lot during covid. Didn't feel confident I could be open about opinions that went against current popular culture and the culture in the organisation.
