Pros

Loved my boss and she let me fly as high as I wanted to and made sure I always felt I had opportunities to explore all my interests. I felt like I was working on impactful projects and I got to interface with several different teams in different countries and work with them on their projects when they needed an extra hand. Also my boss let the job be as remote or in-person as I wanted.

Cons

The humanitarian sector in general can be very hard to work in since you deal with a lot of issues of human suffering and there's only so much you can do in your role.

Pros

All of the volunteers have been lovely, creating a welcoming environment where you really feel as though your work is appreciated. Management is always happy to explain anything when you are unsure and it is overall great to help such a good cause.

Cons

It sometimes felt a though you weren't making much progress with the stock but this was mainly because our store was a very popular donation spot so the pile was always growing !
