Pros

Oracle is and will be a big name.

Cons

No investment in employees at all! The base salary is attractive and perhaps one of the biggest reasons why people tend to apply for jobs at this company. However, once the job secured you do learn that the salary increases are close to non-existent. The performance reviews are set to ensure you never achieve the "Rating" to be eligible for it, and if you are...don't dream for much... Learning, so everyone knows about the Oracle University. This is truly a great place, if you work outside Oracle. Management will always find an excuse not to put you forward for courses... Job security: Well, to put it simple: It does not matter what you achieved, what you have built for Oracle or how your customers praise you. Once the word to "cut down" is being sent, management will always find an excuse to get rid of you easily. With a poor package of course as it is always about the money... And don't forget, once you join forget humanity..you become a number...
