      Pros

      -One of the most low-key jobs I've had, with a good deal of autonomy (largely due to an amazing manager) - pay was decent for the work

      Cons

      - overhired both employees and contractors in 2021 during the post-lockdown boom. - moved people up the corporate chain who were too metric-based and did not understand or respect the nuances of the regional markets. - minimal training for contractors - all jobs formally filled by remote contractors were moved to India since at least August 2022, including roles with nuances such as renovations, HOAs, and pricing. - layoffs without warning. Along with the layoffs in November 2022 and April 2023 there were also contractor layoffs in summer 2022, February 2023, and more.

      Happy I joined the Opendoor Family

      Pros

      I have been with Opendoor for over 5 years and have been super happy with my decision to join the team. It took months for me to decide to join Opendoor as one of their initial managing brokers for Opendoor Brokerage but wouldn't take back a single day of my decision. I have worked with some of the brightest and smartest around in improving the selling and buying process for homeowners and potential homeowners. Transitioned to Open Exchange Brokerage over a year ago and continued my excitement for this organization. Considering joining the team? You won't be disappointed.

      Cons

      I really have no cons for working with Opendoor. Yes, the real estate market could improve but that is not a negative against Opendoor.
