Company has great benefits and the pay is competitive.

Cons

Management is plays a lot of favoritism. Many times they'll hire people clearly not fit for the job, but because their resume looks good for investors. This results in many bad decisions taking place. They'd rather hire someone from the outside than promote from within.

Great training is absolutely an essential part of the employee experience. Our aim is to create a workplace where we provide both the training people need to be exceptional in their roles and the training that allows them to develop and grow their careers. To help us get there, we recently added a Director of Learning and Development to the Opendoor team. Under her leadership we've rolled out manager training as well as functional training as a first step in building out a best in class training program.

Pros

Literally some of the highest quality people I've had the pleasure of working with. I find the founders are mindful not only about their core craft, but also about creating a great company culture that supports the wellbeing of its employees.

Cons

It's a young company and has many junior managers. I think this is typical at this stage of startup though.
