Pros

Payment in USD. However, they apply above-market rates and an above-market FX rate (yes, to their own employees), which end up reducing the actual payout.

Cons

Founders: Totally disconnected from their business. They seem to believe that leadership is limited to delivering speeches filled with buzzwords and conducting presentations with random pictures once a month. Very poor leadership team: It's evident that everyone is primarily focused on their personal interests, often at the expense of the company's well-being. Furthermore, a 'political' atmosphere pervades the organization, leading to a constant blame-shifting and avoidance of responsibility. Total lack of strategy and vision: There's a glaring absence of a clear strategy and vision. Everything is treated as a top priority, all market segments are considered ideal, and every product feature is deemed necessary. Inconsistent culture: There's a stark disconnect between the company's preached values and what's actually practiced, creating a sense of dissatisfaction throughout the organization. The People and Culture team, led by its current leader, exacerbates this issue, detrimentally impacting overall performance. Hiring practices: OnTop hires its workforce as contractors when the legal requirement and actual treatment of these individuals should classify them as employees. This approach treats employees as mere commodities. In summary: OnTop's most significant drawback is to be hired.

Pros

Remote work, flexibility, friendly coworkers, growth opportunities

Cons

- The company exhibits a striking lack of consideration & inclusion of individual's creative inclinations. - Moreover, they often turn a blind eye to any achievements or increment in the quality of work of contractors. - Apart from salary, there are no extra benefits such as social security, visa sponsorships, or insurance. - It's a high-stress environment for underachievers, with a lot of focus on targets and performance. If expectations aren't being met, you'll have to make some compromises in your work-life balance. - Every day, I receive a large number of emails from prospects who are frustrated with the frequency with which they are contacted and who believe that we should assume that they are not interested if they do not respond after two or three emails. They have threatened to report me as a spammer and to file a harassment complaint against our company. It's demoralising to be perceived as a frontline representative who harasses prospects via emails. - They've increased the pressure on us to book more calls and send fewer emails at the same time, making it even more difficult to meet our goals. Additionally, if they notice that we're falling short of our benchmarks, they'll put you on a performance improvement plan, adding even more stress to the mix. This work is ideal for someone who enjoys hunting down leads and making cold calls everyday. If you have trouble dealing with stress or performing repetitive tasks, I would not recommend this job to you.

Cons

Lack of communication between areas & hierarchy levels. No process standardization. Lack of consistency for KPIs & goals. Very high employee rotation. Unrealistic goals in the Sales area. They do not take into account the potential of employees when firing them. Competitive & unhealthy work environment. No grace period when starting to work at the company, you have to show results from the first month. They promise a lot of things but do not accomplish most of them.
