Pros

Good discount for employees- employee's get 30% off at Old Navy and 20% off at Gap and Banana Republic. If you work with fun people, it's not so bad.

Cons

You are expected to do everything. You are not just a sales associate, you are a janitor and maid. You are required to clean bathrooms (which can be very gross at times) and once a week cleaning (dusting, mopping, windows etc.) on Sunday morning for hours before store opens. Also, the store gets veryyyy busy at times when they're aren't enough people scheduled to work to meet the demand, so you end up running around everywhere trying to manage it all. You also have to get customers to open old navy credit cards, which no one wants to do with the economy.

Pros

They treat everyone pretty fairly and reward you when you get ONCs by praising you. The breaks were lenient so that was good too

Cons

I didn't like the way they always pressured you to get so many ONCs. I didn't like soliciting, so I wouldn't get a high raise.

Pros

management is hourly, its challenging, the managers will work side by side with the employees, upper management makes good business choice to keep the company profitable

Cons

Impossible work loads and no overtime, They dont hire people from the field to work in the corporate office, So you will see very minimum hours in any building, company standards to process shipment and markdowns are completly impossible goals to achieve, Upper management is too concerned with planograms then competive mechendising or pricing, Every visit is a horse and pony show for the big wigs, They love to use the visit threat to get people to work harder, Managers have to hire at the mimimum wage and making it pretty hard to get great talent, The companys idea of cutting costs is having large sales and selling everything for nothing so the store is held accountable for the difference, Next holiday we will be open around the clock, Rasis are given annually and its not much, you are held accountable for turnover in the building, so when people leave because they only got next to nothing its the managers fault, No loss prevention personel at most stores or camras at least on the customers paving the path for shop lifters and you get held accountable for that too. You cannot approch or apprend a shoplifter or you get fired, everything changes everyday, you have to get several daily credit cards your self and team, you are held accountable for the Customer surveys at the registers anything less than 100% you and your team failed, little to no bonus, you will be required to work just like everyone else but they still want you to do all the check ins, conversations, coaching, auditing, and keeping it fun! Failure to not comply to do any of these things is termination, there is no suport from upper management, you will never get a real thank you, you have to sign every fixture weekly, you are reposible for keeping clearane 100 clean, customers are as cheap as they come and treat everyone horrible, customers are messy, no cleaners unless you find someone to do it for minimum wage so mangers have to do it, every quarter the company announces it makes more money and your hrs get cut, product is still old navy quality, shipment delivery system is horrible and you cant get anything when you need it, supply orders sometimes never come, employees get a break area in shipment room and sre stuck with no heat, sink, or privacy, its really dirty all the time from customers, clothing and plenty or rodents, you are responsible for getting people into your building and how they pay. upper management loves to play favorites. You get very little money for any employees when they achieve great results.
