Pros

Excellent discounts, Music can be pretty awesome, You can fix it so you only work 1 day a month.

Cons

They hire new people all the time cutting peoples hours who have been there for years, then when the new people don't show up they call you at the last minute wanting you to come in and cover there shift. Managers are very inconsistent and petty, working at old navy is more like my years in high school. The store is very cliquey, the best way to be promoted is to brown nose management. In my opinion managers are very immature and unqualified to be in management positions. Managers ask very personal questions, even about your sexuality (which is considered prohibited harassment) Managers gossip between employees about other employees. many people have quit due to the lack of respect from management. They press the issue of ONC's which in my opinion is ridiculous, in today's economy they should be happy we have people in our stores wiling to spend there money. They offer ridiculous awards for so many ONC's you get like, you can make your own schedule or get a $5 dollar gift card. Managers ask you to do things that they wouldn't do, (hence thats why they ask you) Manager is very creepy she looks up people on social networking sites, and gossips to other co workers on what there profile says. raises are also a popularity thing, reviews are a joke. I have had several people (customers) complain about how managers treat them and talk to them or how they press them on Old navy credit cards, even when they have said no. Alot of our feed back scores that are negative are because of managers. and the end result is we don't get our .2% raises. For what we do, and what we have to put up with we should be making alot more.

Pros

Benefits for management, huge company, and a fun environment where you can afford to wear the clothes. Employees are sometimes allowed to buy items before the sale. Is extremely customer service focused and the company allows you to bend rules to satisfy the customer. Their technology for tracking business is great (upcoming sales, goals, overall updates). The company is trying to become more involved in the community.

Cons

The company is tight on hours & high productivity is demanded and sometimes unrealistic. They push their credit card with little incentive to the associates except the threat to fire or write them up. Moving up can be difficult you have to wait until someone is fired or quits. The company pushes activities and events with associates and management outside the workplace and it can become overwhelming .
