      A good job at a short-sighted company.

      Pros

      Great pay for low-level supervisory work. Good benefits, to include employer-matched (6%) 401(k) contributions. Reliable work schedule means time to do other things. Generally recession-proof, at least on the maintenance side of the business.

      Cons

      The management cares for very little beyond making profit, thus low-level supervisors are hand-cuffed by inadequate resources. Often found myself stretching the truth with customers to keep them happy.

      Pros

      Otis has fantastic benefits including a pension plan which most companies have done away with. Compensation is fair. Career advancement is definately an option for someone looking to climb the ladder.

      Cons

      Otis has migrated toward a CRM type of sales business whereas activity is more important than quality of customer relationships.

      Pros

      Working for OTIS Elevator is very comfortable, people can get good balance between work and life. Moreover, I love OTIS and colleagues and my managers there, who are all very nice.

      Cons

      Income there is not so competent that I choose to leave. In addition, due to the complexity of mass-customized manufacturing, the management of OTIS is not terrific as companies in other field. But I still believe our management must be better than other elevator company.
