Pros

The pay is okay not even better than the market.

Cons

Mental and emotional harm Constant exposure to racism, disrespect, and toxicity can cause stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Undermines self-worth and confidence Being devalued, excluded, or treated unfairly chips away at your sense of capability and belonging. Stalled career growth Toxic workplaces often lack mentorship, development opportunities, or fair recognition for good work limiting your growth. Damage to your professional network Toxic workplaces may isolate you from diverse, supportive professionals or expose you to people whose values clash with yours. Reputation risk Working for an organization known for racism or mistreatment might raise questions during interviews especially if you stay for a long time. Poor work-life balance Overwork, lack of flexibility, or guilt-tripping around taking time off is common in these environments, impacting your personal life and health.

Pros

Global company, good market potential

Cons

Revolving door of executives, poor integration of systems and culture between former companies that merged (even years later), employees not prioritized, poor communication, weak leadership bends to every trend in the media makes commitments meaningless, highly risk-averse, unable to realize potential synergies, tries to apply the same policies and practices from corporate head office to the whole company no matter where they are or what they do. Some parts of the business are neglected due to narrow focus. Good employees are leaving or being let go and they are not able to attract appropriate replacements or are leaving vacancies. Abandoned diversity priorities, programs and commitments. Old boys club is strong from the top to the bottom of the company.
