Some colleagues are simply great people. If you are extremely lucky and get one manager who naturally cares about direct reports, there is a lot of opportunities within the company.
Cons
The company operates hyerarchically and based on fear. Some departments are simply dictatorships. Middle managers are fully protected and feel almighty. No matter how viciously they would behave, reporting them will pose career end for the affected employee. Such overprotection leads to corruption, as in every human structure of power. Favoritism and disfavoritism are common. Company policies are totally disregarded by managers and HR without any consequences. The change of culture the company is trying to do, will fail due to lack of courageous decisions.
