Pros

My coworkers were awesome and became some of my best friends. I really liked the flexible schedule and having evenings and weekends off. (I was lucky because not everyone had weekends off.) Working BOH was great because I didn't have to deal with customers that often.

Cons

The owners are essentially useless. They only knew the bare minimum about the product and did not know how to bake or frost, which put a lot of pressure on BOH employees, especially when people were sick/on vacation. The owners are also very disorganized and just plain unhelpful. I honestly don't know if they actually even care about their business. They never showed that they did while I worked there.

Awesome products, moist cakes, cute retail, flexible schedule, easy to trade shifts, great employee discount (50% off cakes)

Cons

Unorganized management, rarely got schedules out on time (said they would be posted every two weeks, but mostly came out every week), complete lack of employee training, totally rude customers (I worked in a more affluent location) so there were many snotty people that came in, manager just sat down the entire shift and didn't even help answer phones when the store was busy, got paid exactly minimum wage

Fun Teammates, incentives to do our best, lots of yummy cake to eat - samples aren't just for guests, a work environment I can be glad to go to work in.

Cons

Not open evenings and weekends which can limit the number of available hours to get scheduled.
