Pros

Team work is essential to every unit in the hospital. Every floor I have been to shows a great effort to keep the unit afloat even through the worst of shifts.

Cons

When there are enough beds but not enough staff to cover them, nurses are frequently being overrun with work. The safety of the staff and patients should be the first priority. By understaffing and continuing admissions to nurses that are already overwhelmed, it creates an environment of animosity and resentfulness. Many nurses are leaving the bedside after many years of being staff because they are being overlooked and underpaid by the newer counterparts that are barely out of college. Many of the charge nurses, supervisors and managers are either very new to the role or do not know how to deal with a team properly and will not listen to their staff. Most upper management are worried about the bottom line, rather than the safety of staff and patients. Some nurses are being verbally and physically assaulted by patients who are out of control with no help from upper management.

Pros

Great benefits with this company. Health insurance, dental, vision, A PENSION, 403(b), and other little NSH perks that come with it. My managers are great to work with and I have loved this job so far!

Cons

I would say the only "con" was that it took a while to get through the onboarding process, and I went through 3 interviews. Which isn't a big deal, because I know the company really wants to get to know who they're hiring before they start with the company, just makes you a little nervous.

Pros

Competitive pay and Good benefits

Cons

Decided to open several new units during COVID, during a nursing shortage, thus taking much needed staff from other units leaving those units to figure out staffing, further straining current staff.
