      Pros

      Can learn from the GE style of management. Simple, open, integrated.

      Cons

      The ruthlessness of management. Terminations of longstanding and competent employees are a daily fact of life. Others who are part of the "inner circle" advance in spite of shortcomings that would get most others a pink slip.

      Employees have the ability to learn numerous pieces of software inside and outside of their department. The large team dynamics within a department functions as a teaching, learning, and support system for other employees. Employees also have the ability to get involved in the restructuring, and the design of new and existing pieces of software.

      Cons

      The annual salary and bonuses are not reflective of employees work load and responsibilities.
