Pros

Best benefits package of any company I have ever worked or heard of. Advancement opportunities are there if you can hang in and overcome the cons. Encouraged learning and flexible work schedule IME. If you are a minority, veteran, female or any other subcategory there is a group for you. Also, excellent mental/physical health workshops are part of the day to day if the interests you or you have a need.

Cons

Entrenched contractors control all the work and are not keen on inducting, instructing, on-boarding or sharing the work with new directs. Low salary for comparable positions in the bay area. Not always clear direction and expectations. Inclusion is sometimes a PC lip service while a lot of employees are left feeling anything but.

Pros

Flexible / accommodating work schedule, dress how you want, benefits for unmarried partner,...

Cons

Dilbert comes to life! Every 6 months is a complete revamp of corporate structure to "streamline" and align with some new C_O's initiatives, sharepoint, Google 1, AWS, etc. Some groups use Slack, when I joined in 2018, the initiative was to get away from Windows (unbeknownst to me), I met with the director and all the other new hires, recommended Slack and was rudely/abrutly cut off because "Slack was a windows app..." As I was laid off with 3600 other Americans 2 months ago (the moment the extra benefits for unemployment were cut off and FL provides a whopping $275 per week and somehow after 18 months I was not vested so I did not get my match that I had counted on and a whopping month of Severance after almost 2 years of my life), Slack was being rapidly adapted by many teams as I had suggested directly to the Director that was no longer employed 18 months before. That was in my first week or 2 and pretty much encompasses my experience there. You will chomp for the bit to get a crack at anything that is not road blocked by outside contractors from Tata Consulting (India) whom have all the keys to the kingdom that essentially control all the IP and any new entry level direct employees ability to get into work at a low level. Reminds me of my contract time at another big corporation years and years before, where I was the only American.
