Pros

In this role, like many sales roles, there are a lot of opportunities to bring home good money and make a good career out of this. You have a lot of freedom to run and grow your business how you see fit and you have training and support along the way.

Cons

The first part of this business really requires a lot of cold outreach, and/or already having connections of people with money looking to get life insurance policies. the first few months you are paid on a sort of retainer, and you can easily go into the red if you don’t have commissions coming through. I also had a large policy that I sold and was forwarded the cash but later that policy was rejected by the insurance company and I was 2500 in debt.
