Pros

-Good pay pack during joining -No time restriction, no stupid dress codes -Very little or no stress in work (May be because majority of the work done are not critical. May be mostly you are going to work on some very old product where not much importance of your work is there) - Cool life. No tension until you are billable.

Cons

-Important decisions are never communicated directly and in timely manner. -Major decisions on appraisal, hike etc are changed within days and are communicated in the very last minute -Corporate and HRs never mind to meet the deadline given to the associates. They even do not communicate the delay and its reason. -If you are looking for technical growth, then better look somewhere else as 99% of the projects here are for working on old applications and that too you will be doing what client asks for. No more, no less. Hardly anyone will listen to your suggestion. -There are proportionately more HRs than resources. And many more, but I think the worst part is really poor communication and no technical growth.

Pros

Friendly HR policies, good health insurance policies, good entry level packages competant with the market, flexible work timings, some EDC's are long lasting.

Cons

1. Its almost impossible to get placed in another project when you are on billing with a particular client. 2. No vertical growth. Its difficult to get promoted. Only people with good buttering skills can get promoted. 3. Incapable senior management. 4. If the project closes down suddenly, you are most likely to get laid off.
