Pros

- I joined Navartis knowing there was clearly defined routes to progression which would take you down the management or billing route. I had made it clear before joining this was my reason for a move and it has been at the forefront of reviews & catch ups since. There is no ambiguity or "we'll see what's available" to progression it is a pure meritocracy where if you hit your agreed targets you will get the reward and I'm confident that this will be upheld on my experience so far. - There are some excellent recruiters in the business you can learn from. - Even as an experienced recruiter I went through the same course given to trainees and this has made me a better more confident recruiter. - They have quarterly events which celebrate promotions and the hard work gone into the previous 3 months. - The office is well kitted out and the basics are all covered. No arguments over who stole who's milk.. it's all provided.

Cons

- It is difficult to start with, especially if you were doing well in your last recruitment role. You are in charge of building your own desk, finding clients etc. But that does get easier. - Perm & Contract teams can feel a little sperated on occassions but this is true of every agency i've been at. - It can be a long day, i very rarely take an hour lunch. - We work purely off of one laptop screen. I'd prefer to have an additional monitor. Particularly when doing BD.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review of your experience. It’s fantastic to hear that you value our clearly defined career paths and meritocratic approach – we want everyone who joins Navartis to know exactly what they’re working towards and to feel confident that their efforts will be rewarded. We’re also glad you’ve found the training beneficial, even with your prior experience, and that you’ve been able to learn from other strong recruiters in the business.

Pros

Training & development: The onboarding and training here are a big step up from my last company. There’s a clear structure, plenty of support from L&D and lots of practical coaching that actually helps to do the job. Progression: Career paths are transparent from day one. You know exactly what’s needed to hit the next level and the targets feel achievable rather than unrealistic. Team culture: The office has a buzz, people celebrate wins together and managers genuinely want you to succeed. Coming from another agency, it feels less cut-throat and more collaborative. Earning potential: Commission is competitive and genuinely uncapped with no threshold so the effort you put in can pay off quickly.

Cons

Fast-paced environment: Recruitment is recruitment so there are long hours at times and you’re expected to put the work in to see the rewards. Systems/processes: The CRM and reporting are good but because there’s a lot of focus on data, it can feel a bit heavy on admin compared to just being on the phone. Communication: As the business expands, some processes and communication across teams are still being ironed out.

Pros

Good company, they hired me as a trainee with no experience, and you get trained within an inch of your life ! Recruitment is a hard industry to crack, even more so over the past few years as the market has slowed and targets still have to be met. Most people find it harder than they think they will, so you do see trainees come and go.

Cons

in my time there, there were quite a few changes as the market slowed, some of the changes could have been communicated better

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you’ve found value in the training and support provided from day one – we know recruitment can be a tough industry to break into, so equipping our trainees with the right skills is a big priority for us. You’ve raised a fair point about communication during times of change. The recruitment market does bring its challenges, and while some adjustments are necessary, we recognise how important it is to keep our teams updated and provide context along the way. Your feedback is appreciated and will help us continue improving how we share information across the business.
