Pros

Everyone in this company is always willing to help you. It is some of the most satisfying work I've had. Overall good company to work for.

Cons

low salary. Growth and promotions are limited. Utilize all employees, and promote frequent training

Pros

Work life balanced, usually don't need to work overtime. It's nice to start engineer career in NI with nice salary in China

Cons

Salary in NI Austin is quite below average, so the high cost for Shanghai engineer makes it less competitive, Austin doesn't take care of Shanghai branch so much, rubbish projects come to Shanghai. Practically NI is a traditional IT company, who provides test equipment and engineers working in test industry are hard to find another competitive employer especially after years of test working experience. Poor salary raise each year makes capable senior engineer leave. Poor management like state-owned company.
