Pros

Exciting products Complicated technical problems to solve Dog friendly 2yr look back Stock Purchase Plan Flexible work hours (but they still expect 10+ per day minimum)

Cons

Unrealistic expectations of project duration Talented teams/org's have to pull the weight of bad ones instead of management recognizing the obvious weakness of individuals or teams. Reactionary to competition Little to no pay increases Too lean of a workforce

Pros

Nvidia still has quite a young work force. The culture is interesting and there are some opportunities for innovating.

Cons

Most management is has had no training in managing people. Senior management, specially in the software department puts a lid on risk taking and trying new things. In general there aren't many opportunities for career development in software as the company's main focus is hardware. The software team is still quite big, but many of the positions are so specific that it makes it difficult to move around internally to try different things. In fact, it is often discouraged. Employee's job satisfaction is always the last thing on the companies list.

Pros

-Flexible working hours. -Gem Engineers. -Ample of slack time to take another job:) or relaxing if you are not that ambititous -Good products -ESOP and RSUs.

Cons

- Bad Management. - Very limited Opportunities. - No Skill/Value enhancement. - No clear definition of career growth. - Ultimate Politics. - Lots of local policies prevail - tailored by local site leaders . - HR department almost non functional. I don't understand why nvidia has hired them either. - Employees not respected and rewarded well unless you are favourite of your manager, (going to smoke together would help you to become favourite) - Waste and spineless Managers. - Not so good pay. - you would be demotivated during appraisal saying you didn't do something great and hence no hike or promotion for you despite you have been doing all that was required.
