7 years in the shop, counter and managment
Pros
Benefits not bad at all, room to move up to a certain point, Money can be good if you are good at what you do, people around you end up as family after a while as you are in a workplace with maybe 12-15 people. Pays parts and labor for mechanics not flag time. Paid Vacation and 401k and health coverage. Will pay for education and technical training for advanced technicians.
Cons
Open on Sunday and the Saturday thought of "no way you're off Saturday." Closing at 8 is a joke. Employees paid by the job like any in the industry, should not be asked to work that late....there is no way to get parts and fix cars after 6 and who comes in that late? No good work comes in at night unless it stays over to the next day. Upper management will always tell you you're wrong and the customer is right no matter how wrong they are.
