Pros

Big business with all the good perks of it

Cons

Poor induction and management. It did not work on my team as the manager did not like me form the onset. I did not like football, was older and more confident that the usual trainee and wanted to understand more than i was given. I had shortcomings for sure, but you would expect the senior management to pick up on the incompatibilities and perhaps move me in another team, instead of just terminating me. Especially since I went through the 5 stages of interviews with flying colours.

Pros

25% staff discount, on site staff shop.

Cons

Not treated fairly, no sense of being a team. Timed toilet breaks, unachievable targets, a lot of pressure, no support.

Pros

Most of the staff you work alongside are lovely

Cons

-the hours are awful -you will works stupid, long shifts all the time with no reward and no thank you -there is no appreciation within the business -the company is not professional in the slightest -all staff walk around the shop floor with a look of disappointed. -you will be shouted at for talking to your colleagues, even if they are no customers around -hierarchy is very much a big thing within this company. -do not expect to go on your break half way through the day, even if you are working a 9 hour shift, you will be going on your lunch an hour into it. -most holiday is declined, and when you personally ask a manager about this, you will get nothing but dirty looks and a snidey comment. -no progression, if you are hoping to become a manager, it’s not going to happen -corrupt, if a managers role comes up, they already know who will get that job before that person has even applied for it
