      Pros

      Staff discount including staff shop. Sharesave scheme.

      Cons

      Office environment - Finance floor is rat infested, the roof leaks when it rains, and there are too many people crammed into the space. Micro management and old-school attitudes. Presenteeism. Below average pay. High turnover of staff at lower grades. No progression or movement at higer grades.

      They exaggerate things on social media

      There's relatively easy work/life balance.

      Cons

      It annoys me when company’s exaggerate things on social media. The latest video posted on social media titled Smart Working mentioned “We’re getting new equipment and everything. Making sure we’ve got a good office at home.” My department have received no new equipment. We’re allowed to take an office chair and a monitor home if required. Equipment is regularly failing and yet there’s no urgency to replace it and invest in it.

With flexible working and also adaptation to home working we have found many of our teams have found this a good positive for maintaining a healthy, well structured lifestyle. Regarding the above with Smart Working. As a business technology trials are ongoing as of right now with a view to provide our Developers and the rest of IT with the best possible experience at home and when in the office. New equipment will be provided as part of new solution which will land early 2021. As a team of over 800 and growing we are looking into the best solutions to ensure our teams are provided with all equipment needed to perform their tasks and job role successfully.
