Pros

If you enjoy the entertainment industry then this is an exciting place for you. The salary is fairly good and there are plenty of company perks.

Cons

Like several media companies, there's no opportunity for growth and advancement. I've seen many hired interns exploited until they burn out. Then they're discarded and replaced with the next fresh slab of meat. Antiquated company structure that did not scale well to industry demands. Current employees were faced with the task to perform well above the norm. Sacrificing personal life, enduring emotional strain and compromising one's health. Beware of the inept HR department. Their sole purpose is to protect the company and not the employee. Even if the employee(s) have legitimate issues. And if issues are reported to HR, you can be certain those employees will be terminated. Copious staff meetings that are completely unnecessary which lead to team inefficiencies and large amounts of wasted time. At least the managers will leave the meeting with a sense of self-worth. Over the years I've seen several questionable business practices within this company. Such as eliminating one particular ethnicity to reach a company quota for diversity. (Which in itself is racist.) Upper management engaging in unprofessional personal affairs. Unnecessary large amounts of money spent on expensive remodeling, selective catering and undeserved managerial bonuses. Much of that capital could have been used to further the advancement of the employees well-being. And not lastly, complete suppression of opinions from employees who are trying to make the company a better place. I do not recommend working here and urge anyone interested to steer clear. There are much better options out there.

Pros

Very smart, dedicated, and talented co-workers. It’s the only reason this NBCU location has had any success.

Cons

Senior leadership does not know how to plan for growth. Work/life balance does not exist. Unrealistic workload and timelines. The next big project is already committed to before the resources are even available from the last project. Leadership will talk about how great the culture is, but because everyone is over worked, the real culture has become a game of CYA and finger pointing. No time to learn from past mistakes, so you end up doing the same work many times

Pros

The health benefits and literally nothing else

Cons

-Absolutely toxic culture with the ploy of a bunch of mandatory employee culture trainings to act like they care when they are nothing but hypocrites -All equipment is broken with constant bandaids added by engineering and then outages are blamed on employees when the upper management KNOWS everything is broken -You can report harassment and abuse time stamped, dated, and ON CAMERA, and still your complaints ‘cannot be proven’. -Forced 10 minute breaks only that cannot be combined -‘Managers’ who have no idea how to be managers -They will cut the budget and perks for employees anywhere they can for no reason. Watched it go so unbelievably downhill over almost 10 years -Got rid of the mother’s room breast feeding room to create a gender neutral bathroom. -Gaslighting and direct victim blaming by senior management when HR complaints are raised -They care more about diversity and inclusion than anything regarding the healthy, safety, sanity, or well being of their ‘essential’ employees -horrible food -it’s just a machine. They don’t care on single bit. Just keep the audio and video on the air of their precious content -no extra compensation or perks for training other employees
