Pros

As long as it is owned by General Electric, it will be a fantastic place to make television. They tend to underpay you severly when you start, but that is true in any television job. There are NO opportunities for people there 5-10 years. There is no advancement past the Associate Producer stage.

Cons

Very little advancement in the TV business.

Pros

Good opportunities for advancement, good benefits, reputable company. NBC implements many of GE's systems when it comes to the way they run things, so you know it's going to be as professional as it gets. If you're looking to work in media while working for a reputable, corporate-minded company, NBC is it.

Cons

The only downside for me was that the internship was unpaid. It was very difficult to live in LA and devote so much time to something that I wasn't getting paid for.
