NBCUniversal - Not recommended as a contractor

Pros

Worked on some interesting projects and technologies. Got to work on some high profile shows and learned a lot about building to scale. Worked with some excellent people.

Cons

Contractors were not treated very well. We were very much second class employee's. We had different badges and had separate areas for seating but when it came to the work we were contractors in name only. The experience just left me sour to the company.

Pros

i got lucky with some great guidance, exposure and opportunities to be involved. Plus you get to occasionally run into celebrities.

Cons

Very competitive. If you connect with someone, make the effort to stay in touch if you want more opportunities there.

Pros

I really enjoyed the 3 semesters I spent interning with NBC. I got so much relevant experience and some really inspiring managers. Everyone I met was willing to help and speak with me.

Cons

No cons! I really enjoyed working for NBC and would definitely recommend the company to anyone who is interested in working in the media industry.
